Ingredients:
- Swank rice (Swank ke chawal)- 1 cup
- Sugar (Cheeni) – 1 cup
- Desi Ghee – 2 big spoons
- Almonds crushed roughly (katte huye badam) – 10-12
- Raisins (kishmish) – 10-15
- Water - 4cups
Method:
- Take heavy bottom deep pan (bhaari base wali karhai) and add ghee
- Add swank rice (clean it with clean cloth) and roast it on slow flame for 20-25min. till rice turns brown (stir continuously to avoid burning of rice)
- Once rice turns brown, add sugar and 4 cup water and mix well
- Keep flame on slow and stir for next 10min till rice soak the water n turns soft
- Add crushed almonds and raisins and mix well
- Stir halwa till it leaves the kadhai from the bottom
- Garnish with almonds and raisins and serve hot.
