NAVRATRI SPECIAL SWANK KE CHAWAL KA HALWA










Ingredients:

  • Swank rice (Swank ke chawal)- 1 cup
  • Sugar (Cheeni) – 1 cup
  • Desi Ghee – 2 big spoons
  • Almonds crushed roughly  (katte huye badam) – 10-12
  • Raisins (kishmish) – 10-15
  • Water - 4cups



Method:

  • Take heavy bottom deep pan (bhaari base wali karhai) and add ghee
  • Add swank rice (clean it with clean cloth) and roast it on slow flame for 20-25min. till rice turns brown (stir continuously to avoid burning of rice)
  • Once rice turns brown, add sugar and 4 cup water and mix well
  • Keep flame on slow and stir for next 10min till rice soak the water n turns soft
  • Add crushed almonds and raisins and mix well
  • Stir halwa till it leaves the kadhai from the bottom
  • Garnish with almonds and raisins and serve hot.
