HOT & SWEET MANCHOW SOUP



Ingredients: (8 servings)

FOR VEGETABLE STOCK
  • Carrot (Gajar) - 3 medium sized
  • Onion (Pyaaz)- 2
  • Potato (Aloo)- 2 medium sized
  • Red Tomatoes (Lal tamatar) - 5 medium sized
  • Garlic flakes (lehsun) - 2-3 flakes
  • Salt to taste
How to make Vegetable Stock:
  • Peel carrot, onion, potato, garlic and dice it in big cubes, dice tomatoes in cubes
  • Add 1 litre water to all the vegetables, garlic flakes and add salt and pressure cook for 15-20minutes
  • Blend the vegetables with help of blender and sieve it to extract vegetable pulp. Clear vegetable stock is ready

FOR MANCHOW :
  • Vegetable stock
  • Chopped carrot (barik katti gajar)
  • Chopped french beans (barik katti hari lobia ki falliyan)
  • Chopped cabbage (barik katti patta gobhi)
  • Finely chopped green chillies (barik katti hari mirch)
  • Finely grated garlic flakes (barik kadukas kiya hua lehsun)
  • Finely grated ginger (barik kadukas kiya hua adrak)
  • Cornflour (diluted in half cup water) - 2 spoons cornflour
  • Soya sauce - 1 big spoon
  • Maggi (crushed)- half cake
  • Red Chili powder (degi lal mirch)- 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper powder (pissi huyi kali mirch)- 1/4th teaspoon
  • Tomato ketchup - 3 big spoons
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil- 2 spoon
How to make Manchow Soup :


  • Take a big pan and heat oil. Add chopped garlic and saute and further add chopped ginger and green chilies and saute for 2-3 seconds
  • Add chopped carrot, french beans and cabbage and saute for 10 seconds stirring continously
  • Add diluted cornflour, salt, red chili powder, black pepper, tomato ketchup and soya sauce and mix well.
  • Add vegetable stock and mix well. Add crushed maggi and let it cook in soup on medium flame. 
  • Let soup boil till it become little thick and maggi is cooked properly.
HOT & SWEET MANCHOW SOUP is ready to serve........  :-)

Garnish Suggestion: You can also add fried noodles while you serve hot soup (apki marzi hai..) :-D
