SOOJI VEG. PANCAKES

Light and tummy filling snack for you all....




INGREDIENTS: ( makes 5-6 pancakes)
  • Semolina (Sooji) - 1 cup
  • Curd (dahi) - 3/4 cup
  • Finely chopped green beans (bareek katti hari beans) - 2 big spoons
  • Finely chopped carrot (bareek katti gajar) - 2 big spoons
  • Finely chopped onion (bareek katta pyaz) - 1 big spoon
  • Finely chopped green chillies (bareek katti hari mirch) - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Carom seeds (Ajwain)- 1/2 teaspoon
  • Refined oil - 2-3 spoons
  • Salt to taste (namak swad anusar)
HOW TO MAKE :
  • Take a bowl and mix sooji and curd to form thick paste.
  • Add chopped green beans, carrot, onion, green chillies, carom seeds and salt (add little salt).
  • Mix nicely and keep this this batter aside for atleast 1 hr. (Also you can make this batter and keep in fridge overnight too for your breakfast). At the time of making pancakes, make sure batter should be medium thick (add little water if required).
  • Heat the tava and grease it with little refined oil and with big spoon put the batter and spread it in round shape. Let the pancake be little thick. Please do not spread much as it would make thin crust..
  • Softly turn the pancake and sprinkle little oil on the edges of pancakes. Lightly press the pancake with a spatula but do not flatten it much. 
  • Once pancakes turns light brown, remove it from tava and serve hot.
You can enjoy hot sooji veg. pancakes with tomato ketchup, pudina chutney or tea....     :-)
