KHATTE MEETHE RICE

Mouth watering khatte meethe rice can be prepared by fresh cooked rice or  leftover rice too. Lets see its quick and easy recipe.





INGREDIENTS : 

  • Cooked plain rice (pakke huye chawal) - 1 cup
  • Sliced onion (pattle katte huye pyaz) - 1 small
  • Groundnuts (moongfali ke daane) - 10-12
  • Finely Chopped green chilies (bareek katti hari mirch) - 1 spoon
  • Mustard seeds (sarso dana)- 1/2 teaspoon
  • Curry leaves (kadi patta) - 6-7
  • Lemon juice (neembu ka ras) - 2-3spoons
  • Sugar (cheeni)- 1 spoon
  • Turmeric powder (peesi huyi haldi) - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder (lal mirch peesi huyi) - 1/4th teaspoon
  • Salt to taste (namak swaad anusaar)
  • Refined oil- 2 spoon
  • Chopped green coriander leaves (katta hua dhniya patti) - 1 spoon
HOW TO MAKE:
  • Take a frying pan/kadhai. Heat oil and add mustard seeds. Let the seeds crackle.
  • Add green chilies, groundnuts and curry leaves. Fry little.
  • Add onions and and fry till they turn little transparent.
  • Add turmeric powder, red chili powder. Mix well. 
  • Add salt and sugar with 2-3 spoons of water. Let sugar melt. 
  • Add rice and lime juice. Toss well. Let rice get coated with this masala. Add green coriender leaves and toss again
Garnish with green coriander leaves, groundnuts, curry leaves. Serve hot :)
