Here we are talking about South Indian Naariyal ki chutney.... That you relish with Dosa, Idli, Vada, Uttpam.... You know how easy it is to make Instant Naariyal ki chutney.... Ok... let me prove... :-)
Ingredients :
- Fresh coconut (taaza naariyal) - 1(cut in small pieces) / fresh coconut if not available then you can also use dry coconut powder (1 cup)
- Roasted gram dal (bhunna channa) - half cup (without outer cover)
- Curd - 3-4big spoons
- Oil - 1 spoon
- Mustard seeds (sarso dana)- 1 spoon
- Curry leaves (kadi patta) - 5-6leaves
- Green chillies (hari mirch) - 2
- Ginger (adrak) - 1 inch long
- Salt- to taste
- Red chillies (sabut lal mirchi) - 2 (optional)
Method:
- Take small pieces of coconut, add bhunna channa, ginger, green chillies, curd and salt and grind in grinder to make smooth paste (add little water if consistency is thick)
- Take oil in small frying pan and add mustard seeds and let it crackle and add red chillies (optional) and curry leaves and saute for 3-4 seconds and add this tadka into chutney
