CRISPY SALTY POTATO WAFERS (VRAT WAALE CHIPS)


Classic Salted Potato Wafers are all time favorite.....     

Be it NAVRATRI FASTS or PARTY..... MAKE THESE FRESH, BEAUTIFUL GOLDEN CRISPY POTATO WAFERS AT YOUR HOME  :-) 

And its recipe is toooooo easy :-)

All you need is potatoes and a pillar.... No need of slicers or expensive food processors 



INGREDIENTS:

  • Round or Big potatoes (gol ya barre aloo)- 4-5
  • Chilled water (thanda paani) - to soak ( bhigone ke liye)
  • Refined oil- to fry
  • Salt (namak)- to taste (swaad anusar)
HOW TO MAKE: 
  • Wash potatoes thoroughly and peel off its skin
  • Keep peeling potatoes into thin slices. Slice these potatoes in big bowl full of normal water to remove starch from the potatoes.Change water 2-3 times till water is crystal clear.
  • Now replace that water with chilled water and keep potato slices soaked for 5 minutes.
  • Remove these slices on soft towel or kitchen towel and pat dry lightly to dry them little.
  • Heat oil in kadhai. And once oil is hot, fry these wafers on medium flame till wafers turns nice golden crispy. (Please avoid overloading kadhai) 
  • Keep doing wafers upside down to avoid burning and please do not hurry as more time it takes to fry, more crispier wafers you are going enjoy
  • Remove wafers on kitchen tissue napkin to extract excess oil. 
  • Spread wafers on dry plate and let it cool down (please dont keep wafers one over another, as wafers may catch moisture). Then sprinkle little of salt.
