KHATTI MEETHI TOMATO CHUTNEY


Khatti Meethi Tomato Chutney, goes amazing with dal rice, parantha and besan puda. Check its quick and easy recipe.




INGREDIENTS: 

  • Chopped Red tomatoes (katte huye lal tamatar) - 4 medium size
  • Cumin seeds (jeera) - 1/4th teaspoon
  • Red chili powder (pissi huyi lal mirch) - 1/4th teaspoon
  • Sugar (cheeni) - 2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - a pinch (ek chuttki)
  • Salt to taste (namak swad anusar)
  • Refined oil - 1 teaspoon

HOW TO MAKE: 
  • Heat oil in pan and add cumin seeds. Let seeds crackle.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and saute for few seconds till tomatoes turn little tender
  • Add salt, red chili powder and sugar and mix well.
  • Let chutney cook on medium flame, stir in between to avoid burning. Turn off the flame once chutney is cooked. Sprinkle garam masala and mix well. (Leave chutney little crunchy by avoid overcooking).
